How it works!

At Pearl Proteins Impex, the journey of Toor Dal begins long before it reaches your plate. We follow a process that blends precision machinery with strict quality control, ensuring every batch is uniform, safe, and dependable. From intake to final grading, each step protects the dal’s natural goodness while delivering you everything you've asked for.

Procurement & Intake

We source premium imported and local toor dal, which is transferred via deep intake pipes onto conveyor belts. At this stage, raw dal is prepared for initial cleaning.

Pre-Cleaning

Advanced machines separate big stones, foreign materials (FM), fine dust, and matti (soil particles) to prepare clean grains for further processing.

De-Husking

Dal passes multiple times through cutting, rolling, and cleaning machines to remove the (outer husk). By-products such as husk, fines, and matti are separated.

Destoning

Specialized destoner machines ensure complete removal of remaining stones, guaranteeing purity and safety.

Drying

Dal is dried using diesel-powered dryers, reducing moisture content for better processing and shelf stability.

Hulling

The dal passes through huller machines twice, with a light application of oil to ease husk removal.

Color Sorting

Using Sortex machines with dual cameras and air jets, grains are sorted to remove discolored or unacceptable ones, ensuring uniform, premium quality.

Moisture Adjustment & Cooling

After drying, a small amount of water is reintroduced to balance moisture and weight.

Splitting & Grading

Each grade is packaged according to customer requirements and global standards.
